Packaging
Varla is one company in the world of e-vehicle products that you can count on for excellent shipping!  I’ve received two scooters from them at different times and both with packaged with great care.  First impressions go a long way and something I can get on board with.

Eagle One – Likes
After reviewing the Varla Pegasus electric scooter I had doubts that the Eagle One would be much better but I was wrong.   The Eagle one was impressive right out of the box.  The Eagle One by Varla looks great and rides even better.  It comes with dual 100 watt motors, hydraulic abs brakes, a 52v 18.2ah battery and dual suspension. Everything works in harmony with each other which makes this scooter a product you can count on.

Slight Warning
There’s so much power that Varla included a Eco/Turbo and a Single/Dual buttons to help you break into its power.  Whether taking off or already moving, once you press the Turbo button hold on! There is so much torque, it’l throw you back and take off without you if you’re not careful.  Use caution when in Turbo mode.

Is Slower More Your Speed?
If 40mph is a little too fast for you, check out my review of the Pegasus.  The Pegasus has a max speed of 28mph and is very easy to ride and a lot of fun too!  You can see my review here https://spiderwayne.com/varla-pegasus-the-28-mph-e-scooter

Eagle One – Dislikes
It’s great as is but there are a few things that I have either already changed or might change in the future. First, we tightened up the front and rear suspension which made the Eagle One feel more stable than it already does.  Possible future upgrades might include swapping out the down pole clamp for a slightly taller-thicker one.  A taller-thicker down pole clamp should make the down pole feel more secure.  For off road riding, the tires that come on the Eagle One worked out fine but I think it could benefit with a knobbier tire.

Following Photos Take by Wayne Louie

The Good

  • More than enough power.
  • Rides great with little to no foot fatigue after long rides.
  • Brakes are strong, smooth and during all my riding have remained quiet.
  • Head turning looks!  Be prepared to have people stare as you fly by them.

The Bad

  • For stability I think Eagle One should have its springs tightened down a little more before shipping them out.  Also, either supply tools like a spanner and for tightening or loosening the springs yourself… or list places to purchase these tools.
  • Use a taller and thicker clamp on the down pole for a little more stability.

SpiderWayne Rating – Near Perfect & still my favorite scooter!
