Packaging
Let’s start off with packaging. Most e-products I get to review come in sub-par packaging but not the Varla Pegasus. The Pegasus was packaged in a perfect box with perfect packaging material. You can instantly tell that Varla cares about detail right from their box!
Pegasus
The Pegasus is easily the best E-Scooter I’ve ever ridden. It has two powerful motors, each being 500 watts (you can switch from using one or both at the same time), dual suspension, airless tires, ABS braking and a 48V/15.6Ah Lithium-ion battery with a charge time of 7-8 Hours and can handle a maximum payload of 280 lbs.
Is It Fast Enough?
YES! The Pegasus can reach up to 28 mph which is plenty of speed. To help with steering, Varla has incorporated some kind of a dampening system which makes the steering feel a little stiff but over time it does loosen up a bit. The dampening system is awesome in my opinion. It’s something I never knew I needed and I appreciate that Varla added it in.

The Good
Solid construction, lots of power but not over the top, much needed steering dampening system, decent price. Overall this is awesome machine and I’m looking forward to many more rides!
The Bad
I can hit 28mph on a full charge but after the battery drops down by a bar or two I can only get up to 25mph. I’m sure this is built in to conserve energy but I would like a choice… to be able to constantly maintain 28mph (and drain my battery) or flip a switch to conserve energy. Note: You can switch between using one or both motors but that doesn’t help maintain the top speed of 28mph.
