Ricoh Theta M15 360 Camera brings fun and excitement to your photos and videos!

Creating a 360 degree video or photo is easier than ever with the Ricoh Theta M15 360 Camera.  No more having to stitch all the images together yourself because most of the work is done for you inside the 360 camera!

The Ricoh Theta M15 360 camera has two 180º lens’s, one in the front and one in the back to cover the full 360 degrees of fun!

I took it out with me to a couple of places, a Japanese festival, a bike ride and into the office.  The photos looked a bit better than the video but you also get more control over the photo settings than you do with the video.  Hopefully this is something that will change with future cameras. Don’t get me wrong, the videos looked fine and can really capture the mood of the environment like no other camera can. Being able to move around in a 360 degree video or photo is both an immersive experience and fun!

A friend of mine is borrowing my 360 camera to record parts of a wedding which leads me to one minor issue I have with it, it beeps.  Yes, every time you press the shutter button for either photo or video it beeps.  It’s not a loud beep but never the less it’s a beep that will be heard in places like a wedding.  I contacted Ricoh about this and they said you can’t turn it off. Hopefully this will be option in a later release of either the camera or it’s firmware.  In any case, getting 360 degree photos and videos at a wedding still sounds like a great idea to me.

Wanna know how I made edits to my 360 videos?
In my 360 videos I added text and an image but you can do more than that.
Editing a 360 degree video can be tricky.  In my full video review below, I go through all the steps on taking the video apart, adding in text, an image, swap out or add in an audio file and how to lighten or darken the video.  Also, if you do edit the video then before sending it up to Youtube you’ll need to inject the video with some code.  So, if you’re planning and doing anything more than the standard film and upload then watch my full review for the step by step how to.

Where will you use it?
The Ricoh Theta M15 360 Camera is small and easy to take everywhere you go. Wedding, birthday parties, concerts, at the park, a bike ride are just a few places I can think of where this camera would be fun to use it at. I love this camera and plan on using it a lot more.  If you have this camera and would like to share your videos and photos please put a link to them in the comment section below.
