About the Laotie TI30
The Laotie TI30 (also known as Landbreaker) is a powerful e-scooter that scares me and it should scare you too.  This scooter is built like a tank and feels like it can take on just about any terrain, especially if you change the equipped tires to off-road tires.

Speed
I did a “quick” speed test using Dragy and I was able to reach a top speed of 42MPH before I ran out of road.  I did notice however, that I was able to reach 42MPH in 25.23 seconds but after that the TI30 speed was still increasing but at a lower pace.   Can it reach a top speed of 52MPH?  Probably but you might need a bit of road with no traffic or stoplights or stop signs to reach it.  Keep in mind, this e-scooter has crazy torque and from a dead stop or even while traveling at a slower speed, if you punch it, the TI30 is going to take off and take off fast!

Here are the specs on the Laotie TI30 along with my notes:

  • Power – Max Speed 50mph
The torque is incredible and caution should be used.   There are several buttons to adjust the ride for Eco/Turbo mode and Single/Dual motor settings.  Eco mode with single motor robs the scooter of most of its power and making a great place to start out on your first ride.   Gradually stepping up to Turbo mode with Dual motors will get your heat pounding… BE CAREFUL WITH THIS ONE!
  • Braking – Hydraulic Brakes
Hydraulic brakes over mechanical brakes was a great choice for stopping power.
  • Range – 87 miles
There are way too many variables to test for a range of 87 miles I can say that this kind of milage will only be reached if you are riding in eco mode with a single motor and your are a very light person.  If you are going to switch modes and be both a casual rider with occasional blast off rocket speeds then I would think about half of the max range would be a safe bet. Suspension – Front and rear
  • Deck – 10.5” inches and a length of  21.5”
The deck feels amazing comfortable. It’s the largest deck of all my scooters.  I find that a large deck makes it easy to readjust the placement of my feet while riding.
  • Lights – Front, rear, sides and turn signals
With the lights on, nobody will have a problem seeing you coming or going!  However, the lights are not very adjustable and point up a little too much which can blind oncoming traffic.  After taking them apart and still could not adjust them I wound up slighting and carefully bending the metal arm that they are attached to and this seems to have done the trick.
  • Weight – 108 LBS
It’s a heavy one!  Make sure to bend with your knees when attempting to lift this e-scooter.
  • Max Load – 440 LBS
Like I said, this is a powerful -scooter and all though I was not able to test for max weight I do believe it’s capable of at least 350 LBS and maybe a little more closer to the 400 max weight.   This is a great -scooter for larger people that need more power.
  • Storage – It’s foldable
Yes, it’s foldable for storage but not very portable due to its weight.
  • BE CAREFUL
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again BE CAREFUL WITH THIS ONE!

Something to Watch Out For
When I first received the Laotie TI30 I noticed a wobble when I reach around 30MPH.   I thought the problem was with the either the tires or the wheels but it was neither.  The problem was a loose nut on the lower stem (seem image below).  This takes me back to a good rule of thumb with all bikes, e-bikes, scooters and e-scooters and pretty much anything you can get on and ride… CHECK ALL THE NUTS AND MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS PROPERLY TIGHTENED!  While Laotie should have caught this during quality control this issue with the Laotie TI30 is not limited to just to Laotie.  This can happen with anything you buy so check things out.

The Good
The Laotie TI30 is a powerful and fast e-scooter! With lights all over the TI30 you’ll have no problem being seen.  In addition to powerful 2 x 2800w brushless motors for a whopping total of 5600w this scooter is well matched with hydraulic brakes for great stopping power.  This is a very exciting e-scooter for people that thrive on scary power but will also benefit by having a ride that you can comfortably cruise at lower speeds.

The Bad
Overall quality of the TI30 is good but things can be missed and in my case one of the lower stem nuts was loose and this caused a wobble at high speeds.  At 108LBS the TI30 is a heavy e-scooter making it a bit hard to fold up and carry up a flight of stairs.

Overall
The Laotie TI30 is a lot of fun and exciting.   Check all the nuts, make sure everything is tight. Pad up and have a great time!
