With the HOVERAir X1 PRO you get awesome shots from above, eye level, down low and many more It’s like having your own personal aerial photographer with you when you need one.
Out Of The Box
This is one of the easiest drones to get started with. Right out of the box you’ll be able to enjoy creative video and photos immediately. In fact, with the HOVERAir X1 PRO you don’t need to connect it to anything else, just turn it on press through the flight modes, and make adjustments right on the drone!
Connectivity & Flexibility
For more features the HOVERAir X1 PRO can be connected to you cell phone via the Hover X1 app which is available for both iOS and Android.
Connecting the drone to the Hover X1 mobile app will give you the ability to also fly manually. Other cool things you can do with the app is install an SD card for more memory like I did with the Lexar 512GB SD card, along with fine tune your preloaded flights as well as enable sound recording.

The Good
This next generation of the X1 now called the X1 PRO has excellent pre-made flight modes with lots of options for each. Depending on the mode you can configure it to fly far and high, mid and close and lot of options.
The tracking ability on this drone is solid. Takes a lot to shake free of it. If you watch my video on it, you’ll see me hitting speeds up to 20mph and the drone stuck to me like bears on honey!
It’s also built tough. I crashed a few times and while it got a little scratched it started right back up and flew beautifully.
Recording audio along with video is made possible by the HOVER app and it’s magical. However, sometimes the audio might be slightly out of sync but it’s easily fixed in post production via most video editing software.
HOVERAir and a lot of useful accessories available like the ND filters and the PowerCase.
The Bad
Like most things that are brand new and use firmware, the HOVERAir X1 Pro may have been released a little early. Since I’ve had mine, I have had some issues with it, mostly while trying to record audio. Good news is that they have been working hard on fixes and getting them out as fast as they can. From what I can tell, everything is working now with one exception, I’m still having a problem recording audio but only with the Dolly Track mode. It works some of the time but not enough to count on it. I’m hoping the next firmware update will correct this.
Overall
The HOVERAire X1 PRO is now my go to selfie drone. The shots I get look awesome and it’s just the easiest drone I’ve ever used. I already owned the original X1 and love it, now I have the X1 PRO and love it more so it only makes that I get the X1 PRO MAX and yes, I already have it on order and cain’t wait to use it as soon as I can.
