The HAOQI Mustang Premium Electric Mountain Bike Reviewed by Wayne Louie
The current price at the time of writing is $2,399.
HAOQI says the Mustang is a premium electric mountain bike. A few key elements that caught my eye when asked to review the Mustang is it’s mid drive motor, dual suspension, large amount of torque and tire size which we will go through in this review.
Assembly
First, getting the Mustang put together was very simple and only a few parts to put together like the handle bars, front tire (includes front brake), pedals and the front and rear reflectors. Doesn’t get much easier than this one. However, if you’re new to eBikes or don’t like putting things together I would suggest that you take your new eBike your local bike shop where I’m they will be happy to help you.

The Mustang comes in two colors: Black and Grey.

HAOQI Mustang Specs
Speed
The HAOQI Mustang can run as a class 1 or class 2 eBike (see video for setup). It has a 48v, 500 watt mid drive motor and can hit a top speed of 20 MPH as a class 1 eBike and 28 MPH as a class 2 eBike. For hills the Mustang has a whopping 130Nm of torque which can easily get you up just about any hill.
Rider Height & Max Payload
As a point of reference, I’m 5′ 7″ and I can sit comfortably on the Mustang.
According the the HAOQI website the Mustang is built for riders between 5’5″ to 6’8″.
The Mustang can handle a max payload of 300 lbs.

The Good
The HAOQI Mustang has a light frame, a mid-drive motor with lots of power, dual suspension, all terrain tires and hydraulic brakes.
You can ride the Mustang on practically any terrain and it looks great too. At its price point this is one of the most affordable e-Mountain Bikes around.
The Bad
The HAOQI Mustang doesn’t come with a front light a brake light or a kickstand. For most people that take mountain bike riding seriously, they probably won’t care about these omissions and neither do I. For those that do care, they can easily add them on at a very low cost.
Overall
I really enjoy the HAOQI Mustang! Smoother and natural Torque Sensor, powerful Mid Drive motor, full suspension, 8-Speed Shifter and more…just give it a thumbs up! 🚲👍 This is the E-Mountain Bike For Me!
