Tired Of Your Big, Bulky Air Compressor?
Speaking from experience, I’m constantly refilling my e-bikes and e-scooters tires with air and I always use a portable pump. I quickly got tired of reaching for our big air compressor for small jobs and once I started using a portable pump I’ve never looked back. These portable pumps run off rechargeable batteries, they are small, and super convenient. If you have a rear rack bag, toss a patch kit and a pump from Auxito and flat tire worries are gone.
Auxito To The Rescue
In addition to being a great, little air pump, the A301 also comes equipped with a flashlight, flashing light and a red, emergency flashing red light. Also, it has a USB A output port so you can also use it to top off your cell phone or run other small devices.
I Can See
The A301 has by far the best display I’ve ever seen on a portable pump. However, the display is very reflective and prone to scratches but so far the scratches on mine have not affected my ability to see display information.
Speed
When compared to pump time against my other portable pumps, it’s just a few seconds slower. I did three tests to see how long it would take each of my pumps to add 4 PSI to a tire that had 16 PSI.
Here are the results
- First Test: My oldest pump completed this task in 41.34 seconds
- Second Test: My second pump completed this task in 42.04 seconds
- Third Test: The Auxito A301 pump completed this task in 46.91 seconds
As you can see the Auxito A301 was not that far off from my other two pumps. This is good because the Auxito doesn’t have to be the fastest but because it’s smaller, has a way better display and also includes a flashlight and an emergency flashing light this will be my go to pump when on the road.
Pop Goes The Hose
One thing to note is that the way the hose was designed to fit into the pump can be a slight problem. Once you have the hose connected to the valve stem, be careful not to twist the position of the pump too much or the hose will pop off and let air out of the tire. This is very easy to handle but something that should be noted.
The Good
The Auxito A301 is smaller than a lot of other pumps making it very easy to take with you. It’s pumps air at close to the same speed of larger portable pumps. It has a very bright display making it the best when it comes to being able to see information on the screen. The layout also makes this one of the easiest pumps to use. And the addition of its flashlight and emergency lights make it a great tool to keep with you when on the road.
The Bad
If critical time for refilling your tire is important to you then you might want something else. This pump will take a little longer to get the job done by only by a few seconds. Also, the hose connects well to the pump but if you twist or move around a lot while pumping air the hose might disconnect. It’s a little expensive compared to other pumps in it’s class.
Overall
I like this little, portable pump. The Auxito A301 has a nice design, feels good in the hand, works well and has a few extra bells and whistles over my past pumps. However, because the hose can disconnect during use I am remove one spiderwayne from my rating.
